Community Picnic Hiatus Announcement

After seven years since conceiving the Community Picnic in 2012 and serving as host, Incourage has made the difficult decision to take a hiatus from the Picnic while extensive construction continues throughout downtown Wisconsin Rapids.

We explored various options for this year, including moving the event to an alternate location. However, the logistics to host 8,000+ people proved to be too complex to move this large-scale event. Incourage remains committed to bringing the community together in the heart of our downtown.

Once downtown construction is complete, we expect it will be even more vibrant. With the support being shown by Governor Evers for Tribune as well as the new Partnership for Sustainable Communities initiative with UWSP in the Tribune, we anticipate this positive energy will increase.

As Incourage takes this year off from the Community Picnic, we thank all who’ve helped to realize and grow this dream we had in 2012. With all of us working together, the Community Picnic will return to a revitalized downtown and be even better than before.
