Here are just a few of the 70+ non-profit organizations we’ve supported over the years.
In 2024 alone, we granted over $660,000 to 72 separate organizations.
In 2024, over $230,000 in scholarship money was awarded to further local students’ continuing education.
From 2006 to 2017, the Teen Fireworks Committee brought together students from Lincoln, Assumption, Nekoosa, and Port Edwards High Schools to raise money for the Wisconsin Rapids fireworks display – raising nearly $225,000 during their time. They also helped boost community support through events like local Rafters baseball games.
At age 25, Lacey Laskowski was on her way to Marshfield Hospital for cancer treatment when she thoughtfully asked her mom, “What if there were a way to help families like ours with medical expenses and treatments?” Though Lacey courageously lost her battle with Leukemia, her caring spirit lives on. Her family established the A Smile From Lacy endowed fund at Incourage, which continues to support families facing similar challenges, along with a scholarship fund in her memory.
Thanks to countless volunteers, The Neighborhood Table (now FOCUS Neighborhood Meals) has provided a free weekly meal service to the Wisconsin Rapids community since 2000. In this photo, longtime volunteer Tom Prohl is cooking on a commercial range made possible by an Incourage grant. In 2020, The Neighborhood Table, SWEPS and Rapids Family Backpacks merged as one nonprofit organization called FOCUS – combining a shared mission to address food insecurity.
The Dove’s Nest was the first respite retreat of its kind in the Midwest, created through the vision of the Alex C. Dove Foundation with support from local residents and Incourage. In 2019, Becky Dove discussed the retreat center’s mission on WFHR radio. Although The Dove’s Nest was sold in 2025, the interview offers a lasting reflection on its purpose and the lives it touched.
