Tribune Update: State Budget Announcement

State Budget Announcement

We are happy to share that funding for the Tribune Building Project has been included in the Governor’s budget proposal! Read the official news release from the State of Wisconsin

While this is very good news, it is important to remember that the Governor’s budget proposal is just the first step in the process of developing the state budget.  Next, Tribune funding will be considered by a special committee called the State Building Commission.  Assuming a favorable vote by the Building Commission, this proposal will then go to the Joint Finance Committee and then to both houses of the state legislature.

The next steps will be to continue to work with State Senator Pat Testin and State Representative Scott Krug to build broad legislative support for Tribune funding.  We will keep you posted as those efforts unfold.  Meanwhile, please take a moment to call or email Sen. Testin and Rep. Krug to thank them for their continuing support for state funding for the Tribune Building.

THANK YOU for your support and advocacy throughout this process.
We hope to see you on Monday, March 18, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Centralia Center
for the next Tribune Building Public Meeting.
