As another year comes to a close, I hope you are looking forward, with the same anticipation I am, to the bright new chapter ahead.
It has been a busy year here at Incourage. In March we welcomed Linda Schill to our staff as Co-Director alongside me, and in April we announced the addition of three new board members. I am so proud of our incredible board and dedicated staff, who have done an amazing job of keeping this community, and each of you, at the center of our work, ensuring you have a place to participate in making good things happen.
Years ago, we used the logo “plant the seed – watch it grow.” That still holds true today. You decide what seeds you want to plant, while Incourage helps you cultivate them, so they can sprout and blossom into something beautiful.
Making good things happen usually involves action and change, and today is no different. For the past five years, I have been honored to be the Managing Director here at Incourage. However, as part of Incourage’s transition plan, I am pleased to announce a very positive change: Linda Schill has graciously accepted the role of Executive Director, taking the lead on moving our organization forward as of January 1st, 2026. I will continue to be here behind the scenes, supporting Linda and the staff as I take one step closer to retirement.
As a hometown girl raised in this community, many of you already know Linda. The love she has for our area is evident, and I am confident Incourage is in very good hands with this transition. I am equally happy for Incourage, this community and the good things to come with Linda becoming the leader of this wonderful organization.
I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season and an even better New Year.
With Peace and Warmest Wishes,
Betsy Wood
Managing Director
