Dec 4: Learn to Run for Public Office

Mon. Oct 15, 2012

A strong democracy depends on engaged citizens and dedicated, competent, leaders willing to step forward and serve in public offices. No matter which public office – town clerk, school board, town board, county board, city council, sheriff, or others – our public institutions become stronger when interested candidates offer voters choices as to who will represent them. Serving in public office lets you use your skills, talents, and experience to be a creative force for positive change in your community.

To find out more about becoming a candidate, plan to attend, Why & How to Run for Local Elected Office on Tuesday, December 4, 6-8 p.m. at Wood County Courthouse Auditorium, 400 Market Street, in Wisconsin Rapids.
