Training offered to strengthen area organizations and boards

Thu. Apr 30, 2015

Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc. – April 29, 2015 – Important issues continually challenge community organizations across the country. Incourage is providing an upcoming opportunity for local organizations to foster collaboration in addressing common challenges, with the help of a nationally recognized leadership and governance expert.

Incourage is offering Reclaiming Trusteeship, for anyone who works with boards or committees in nonprofit, faith-based, educational or governmental organizations. It takes place Tuesday, May 19, from 7:45 a.m.–1 p.m. at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids. Lunch will be provided. Cost is $30 or $25 per person for teams of two or more. Participants will learn how to take an active role in fostering trust and building confidence within their staff and board, and enhancing relationships with collaborating organizations.

“Organizations need more than training. They need opportunities to participate in shaping a shared learning agenda that exposes our community to new ideas, increases knowledge and skills while strengthening new and renewed relationships,” said Dawn Vruwink of Incourage. “We’re honored to have Katherine Tyler Scott lead us on this journey.”

Katherine Tyler Scott, managing principal of Ki ThoughtBridge and the author of Creating Caring & Capable Boards, facilitates this conversation. Katherine helps participants explore underlying issues and challenges of organizational leadership, in order to discover and implement solutions together.

Register for this session by May 8 by calling 715.423.3863. Seating is limited. Registrations prior to May 8 will receive a complimentary copy of Creating Caring & Capable Boards.
