September Morning Magazine with Kristie Rauter-Egge and Kayleigh Mengel

Wed. Sep 8, 2021

Incourage was pleased to invite the Wood County Health Department (WCHD) to speak with Morning Magazine Host James J Malouf during our September Morning Magazine segment. Kristie Rauter-Egge, Incourage Board member & WCHD, and Kayleigh Mengel, WCHD, shared information about the COVID-19 approval status for vaccines and recommended additional 3rd dose for those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised, free drive-thru testing currently available, and more. They noted that guidance and timing for a booster dose, similar to an annual flu shot, isn’t known at this time, and encouraged people to ask questions if you are unsure.

The WCHD continues to monitor cases and provide reports; an up-to-date data dashboard is available on the Wood County website. Having access to accurate, current information and dispelling myths helps each of us to make better informed decisions. You can stay up-to-date on public health information and more by following the Wood County Health Department’s Facebook page and the Wood County website at www.co.wood.wi.us/Departments/Health/Covid.aspx .

As James reminded listeners: the Wood County Health Department is here to keep our community healthy, safe and protect us. Words to keep in mind: patience, understanding, empathy, kindness.

Tune in!
