Are You In? “Teens Help Others Cope”

Fri. Apr 1, 2016

Each year, participants in Incourage’s Teen Leadership Program award a grant to a local group. This year, teens selected River Cities Clubhouse, an organization that helps residents with mental health issues. The Teen Leaders’ grant helped River Cities Clubhouse purchase a computer to research employment and coping skills. While selecting the grant, teens learned to work together, be inclusive and move a good idea to action. Most importantly, this grant will help build a community that works well for all. Why did they choose them? Take a look!

  • About Incourage

Established in rural Wisconsin in 1994 to serve the changing needs of the south Wood County area, Incourage has become a nationally-recognized leader in place-based philanthropy and community development. Guided by values of equity, opportunity, and shared stewardship, Incourage envisions a community that works well for all people. One physical manifestation of this vision is the redevelopment of the Tribune building, which demonstrates Incourage’s user-centered approach to growing a strong and inclusive local economy.
